Sunflowers represent many things – the warm sun, new beginnings, and standing tall through adversity – but one can only take so much without support. With that in mind, this film shows the trials and tribulations affecting the well-being of a sunflower. During the struggle, help finds them, giving them a place to rebuild their strength.
“Float” is a stop motion animation made with clay. The film follows a teenager visualizing their mental health as an ocean. They feel isolated on this journey but find that they have a loving support system waiting to help them.
The filmmakers behind “Listen” wanted to share insight into the experience of starting therapy while conveying a postive message.
This film uses abstract visuals to enhance examples of how to tell that someone may be struggling with thoughts of suicide.
